Posts: 1 (06/25/08 10:05:01) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Tags : None so we just finished my bike last week and headed down to the smokeout. this bike started ife as a pretty nice 81 heritage specail and I shit canned everything except the motor and the rear wheel. the bike was the brain child of myself and jon at ardcore choppers. This bike is a vast departure from any xs they have built leaving the typical springer and sportster tank that most xs builders use and leavin them out of the equation. I love the way this bike urned out and wouldn't change thing. I painted the bike which is what I do to feed the family. and before you freak about the front end it is a 4 under sportster front end w/ 90 weight gear oil and I only weigh 130 lbs. so it ride great and handles like it on rails.opinions welcome

If yours is like the one I have its square down where it goes on the kick gear. Did you use a broach to rethread it? I was trying to keeep a balance with this bike. I wanted people to come up and look at it at shows or when its parked on the street. If it had candy pagen gold all over it they wouldn't come up and see all the little details on the bike. and yes everyone does have one and they all stink. ha! Last Edited By: sure 07/02/08 17:58:26. I'd bet that paint would probably look even nicer in person and up close? It's not often a picture shows the true color of something. Your pictures are different for some reason! I've always been a big fan of nice solid colors on bikes and cars, whether metalics, pearls, candies, or whatever. Are you able to tell us more about how the paint was laid..if not I'll understand. Posts: 5 (07/04/08 08:36:27) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	clifford, yeah I can tell you more. but looks can be deceiving. the paint does have graphics but they are very subtle and don't show up in pics very well. the base of the paint is orion silver,followed by gold for the graphics then I put some platinum metallic then 3 coats of pagen gold candy followed by 4 coats of clear. heres are some close ups of the tank...
