Anyone have a link for how to make a drop seat frame out of a stock XS650 frame.
I searched through this site, but couldn't find anything.
Thanks.

Are you talking about a true dropped deat frame, or are you wanting to just lower your seat rails to allow for lower seat height?

ultrafastgsxr: you can purchase a frame from this link site. But this is not an endorsement, I personally don't know anything good or bad about these
frames.
http://www.650central.com/ on the left sidebar there is a button marked 'Ardcore Choppers', select that and you will find some info. The other option is to purchase a weld on drop seat tail section and have someone locally weld this onto your stock frame. I think that Detroit Bros. will sell you one or at least let you know who may have one. you can use just about any older weld on tail section to do this with. Triumph, Sportster, they are all typically designed the same. this will give you the hard tail look (typical) but not the drop seat version. the 650 central website is great so check it out if you haven't already. lots of info on the engine, wiring, tuning etc. plus some links to other sites dedicated to the resto and customizing of this powertrain. Have fun! Jeff |
