Cool, my wife used to have a CM400, and my daughter currently has one. They're peppy machines.

May I make a few suggestions?

1) Get a set of shorty shocks from LRT over at Hondachopper. They're relatively inexpensive, and help 'squat' the look of your bike. The CM is tall for its size. Alternately, since you've got a springer saddle, get a pair of 9" struts.

2) Look for Freebyrd's instructions (somewhere here on the board) about how to strip and polish those ugly Comstar rims. It makes a huge difference in looks.

3) Get a set of track bars, clubmans, or even a set of clipons, and slide the forks up in the trees an inch or two. It'll bring down the front, and get away from that ubiquitous "1980s UJM cruiser" look.

4) Ditch the mirrors, the chain guard, the center stand, the speedo and tach, the turn signals, and the reflectors. Find a little 5" headlight to replace that gargantuan eyeball up front, too. If you need any of that junk for legal reasons, find smaller versions. You can get little 3" bar-end mirrors, 2-1/2" gauges, 1" bullet turn signals, etc. online.

The point to a bobber is removing EVERYTHING that isn't necessary. Some don't even have electrics, apart from the ignition and charge circuits! Strip it down to the bare minimum, then ONLY put on what you absolutely need.
