I have been having problems with the carbs on my 82 DOHC CB750. After pulling the carbs off the bike I noticed they are in pretty nasty shape on the inside.
So I have gotten a set of donner carbs incase I need to replace anything. My question or questions are after cleaning my jets and floats and making sure my
accelator pump has no tears in the rubber and all that good stuff. I want to make sure my float levels are correct as well. What is the easiest way to check
my float levels and what are they supposed to be at. I heard 26.00mm is this correct? I am running aftermarket individual pod filter, aftermarket exhaust
and Dyna ignition and coils. I have gotten tips on the jetting which helped a ton so thanks a bunch to both Freebryd and Lady Dr. Thanks guys. Any tips on
making sure my carbs are set up and cleaned out right would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

I know that there are a few differences on 82 carbs, but on my 81 carbs, the float levels can't be adjusted. They are set at the factory when they molded
the plastic. The only other advice I have is that you make sure your idle passages (those tiny little holes at the bottom of each throat that looks like a
speck of pepper) are clean.

Clean, clean and clean, if it's a hole clean it. Top of float to flange on chamber body says to be 15.5 mm, make sure the little pin on the needle is
springy. I can't adjust mine either, kinda glad, just means something I can't screw up

Yes I agree on cleaning If at all possible I like to soak in a cheap laquer thinner overnite, use some sort os stiff wire to run in the holes with carb
cleaner. just be carefull not to get the the wire stuck-- and compressed air to blow out - just cover the part your blowing on with a rag and wear glasses.
