FAB ????

I was wondering if anyone has attempted to convert a stock frame into a hidden mono shock(soft tail)? Would this work or will the swingarm bushings wear out
to fast,or is the stock swingarm not strong enough? What i was thinking is to add a plate to the top of the swingarm for the lower shock mount and adding
another mount under the stock tank mount for the top shock mount. Or is my way of thinking all wrong? I would have to find a new place for the battery.
Thanks for any and all help.

nygaard,i think that your idea will work......just use a short shock,, or a heavy duty coil spring (small)... maybe make your swing arm look like a
hardtail,,like on some of the new bikes....go to a bike dealer and look how they did the frame......check out some dirt bikes seehow it was
done.......later.......jim jones

Ihave seen it done before on an XS 650 a couple of years ago. The guy said he liked the looks, but that it rode better in stock form. I have no idea how it
held up because the site that I saw it on died shortly thereafter.
